Ida Soulard is an art historian, writer and curator based in Paris and the Limousin. Her work examines what situations of radical transformation - ecological, material, technological - demand of artistic practice: what objects they make possible, what imaginaries they displace, what forms they force into being. She is currently leading a research institute at the intersection of art, technology, and ecology at The Feral (France), and working on a book, Fibres Fatales / Fatal Fibers, which explores the deep cultural history of the criminalisation of women through their textile activities.

Ida Soulard est historienne de l'art, autrice et commissaire d'exposition, basée à Paris et dans le Limousin. Ses travaux interrogent ce que des situations de transformation radicale - écologique, matérielle, technologique - exigent des pratiques artistiques : quels objets elles rendent possibles, quels imaginaires elles déplacent, quelles formes elles forcent à inventer. Elle dirige actuellement un institut de recherche au croisement de l'art, de la technologie et de l'écologie, au sein de The Feral (France), et travaille à un livre, Fibres Fatales / Fatal Fibers, qui explore la longue histoire culturelle de la criminalisation des femmes à travers leurs pratiques textiles.
